The process begins with a piece of
jeweler's wax.

The wax is hand carved into the desired

metal flask is placed over the ring and into the base.
Chrystobolite is poured around the
ring.

flask is put in an oven where the wax ring is
burned out. (lost
wax)

The silver is heated to a molten
state.

The silver is poured into where the wax
was.

The chrystobolite is broken away from the

The stone is set - the ring is cleaned and
